This policy explains what Simply Stats LLC, doing business as PayClear ("PayClear", "we") collects, why, and your choices.
What we collect

How we use it
- To provide the Service: read uploaded documents, run checks, generate pay applications, send emails you ask for (results, receipts, password resets).
- Marketing email only if you opted in or, for business contacts, where we have a legitimate business interest. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, which we honour automatically.
- To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
We don't sell personal information and don't share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
How we read your files
PayClear's own software reads uploaded pay applications on our servers; we don't send them to an AI model provider. If our software can't read a file's layout, a member of our team may look at it to send you your results.
Service providers
Hosting (Hetzner Online, servers in Helsinki, Finland), email delivery (Migadu, and AgentMail for account emails), payments (Stripe), error monitoring (Sentry, configured not to send personal data). Each processes data only to provide its service to us.
Security and retention
- Uploaded files are encrypted at rest and deleted 30 days after the check. Extracted figures and findings are kept so you can see past results.
- Account data is kept while your account is open, then deleted within 90 days of closure unless we must keep it (for example, invoices for tax records).
- Access is limited to people who need it, with two-factor login. Databases are backed up daily.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from marketing email with the link in any email.
- Ask for a copy of your data, correction, or deletion by emailing privacy@getpayclear.com. Depending on where you live you may have further rights (for example under the CCPA/CPRA or GDPR). We won't discriminate against you for using them.
Children
The Service is for businesses and isn't directed at children under 16.
Changes
We'll post changes here and, if they're material, email account holders.
